Project SMART-GD
This project deals with application of drones and GIS in the service of sustainable development and smart use of resources (on the defined territory of the village of Brezna in the municipality of Plužine).
This project is realized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering University of Montenegro as with support of Innovation Fund of Montenegro.
Proof of innovative concept
The project is realized as part of the proof of innovative concept program of the Innovation Fund of Montenegro. This program is designed to support early-stage research innovations by providing pre-commercial capital for the technical and commercial validation of innovative concepts, as well as to strengthen the capacities and capabilities of the private sector and research institutions in the fields of research, development, and innovation.
Basic info
This research belongs to class technical and technological. Information and communication technologies as a horizontal priority are from the Strategy of Smart Specialization of Montenegro to which the project refers. Project main activities are related to the making the feasibility study.
UAV and GIS technologies
Fundamental technologies for the realization of this project are UAV (Unmanned Aerial vehicles) and GIS (Geographical Information System) technologies and and their application for data collection, processing and analysis. Today, this combination of technologies is crucial for accurate, precise and reliable decision-making in many areas.
